In 2013 The Museum Of Science & Industry commissioned MidConversation to make a new interactive installation in their textiles gallery. 'The Reader'  abstracts the Jacquard Loom's mechanics, rich history and its impact on modern technology into a kinetic visual and audio environment. Exploring the relationship between the punchcard mechanism and the evolution of modern technology, it features both sound and fabric interpretations of binary.
