Tactile Microcosm (2024)
As a part of ‘Gläntan’ exhibition I created this work in collaboration with woodworked Alvaro Aramburu, I created this piece, ‘Tactile Microcosm’, inspired by the vital small organisms that make up our local forests of Dalsland. Seven different objects form a landscape of wood, mirror, metal, and brushes. Each element is made to be touched. And, through a sound designer, they play electronic sounds as you interact that accentuate the tactile features.
Gläntan is the result of MISK, a three-year research project into the creation of inclusive instrument making. The exhibition is particularly aimed at visitors with communicative, cognitive and physical disabilities, and children between 0 and 6 years of age. More information on the project can be seen here.
