Sinnerligt (2018)
Sinnerlight is a fully interactive exhibition, experienced through light, sound, smell, and touch. Seven hand-made installations are a result of the ongoing collaboration between Laura Blake, and performance maker Ellie Griffiths. The works respond to the painting 'Staffin Beach' by young Scottish Artist Greta McMillian, who has paints using Tobii eyegaze technology. Sinnerligt interprets the energy of Greta's painting, abstracting the the sensory experiences of walking across a coastal island from dawn to dusk.
The show is a commission by Scen:se, a three year research project into inclusive arts in Sweden, and will tour until 2020. Using the theory of Universal Design, Sinnerligt aims to be accessible to all ages and needs. The pedagogy and process of creating Sinnerligt are particularly important, an in depth video about it is here.
